Ingredients

Cinnamon Sticks

  • 6 pcs. puff pastry squares (cut into strips)
  • 7 tbsp. 100 grams unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3 tbsp. 50 grams milk
  • 5 tbsp. 150 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. 17 grams cinnamon

Cream Cheese Dip

  • 7 tbsp. 100 grams cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 4 tbsp. 31 grams icing sugar
  • 1 tsp. 3 grams vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 190'C / 374'F.
  • Thaw puff pastry squares and cut them into strips about half inches wide.
  • Twist the bottom, the middle, and the bottom of the puff pastry. Brush them with some melted butter, making sure that all the sides are brushed.
  • In a separate bowl mix together sugar and cinnamon. Toss the puff pastry in the sugar and cinnamon mixture carefully, making sure that you don’t damage its shape.
  • Bake for about 12-15 minutes 'till puffed and golden brown.
  • Place on a cooling rack and let it cool completely.
  • For the dip, just mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until fully combined.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Chef's Tip:  Let the oven be fully preheated before baking the cinnamon sticks. Try not to open the oven door while baking to not let the moisture out. Moisture and high temperature will help with the puffing action of pastry puffs.
