Ingredients
2pcs.apples(peeled, scored and diced)
6pcs.puff pastry squares(room temperature)
2 tbsp. or28 gramsunsalted butter(diced)
4 tbsp. or50 gramsdark brown sugar
1 tbsp. or 3 gramscinnamon powder
3/4 cups or 180 gramswater
1/2 pc or 1 tbsp.lemon juice
1 pc.apple(thinly sliced)
1 tbsp. or14 gramsunsalted butter(melted)
1 tbsp. or 15 gramsmilk
Instructions
Bring diced apples, brown sugar, unsalted butter, water, salt, lemon juice, and cinnamon powder to a boil. Remove from the heat and let it cool completely. Transfer to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Thaw pastry puffs. Take one and cut a square hole in the middle and place it on the top of another pastry puff. Pinch the edges using a fork.
Add the apple filling in the center.
Place thinly sliced apples on top of the filling.
Brush with melted butter and milk to avoid drying up in the oven while baking.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200’C for 10 mins. (+/-)
Let it cool before serving. Optional: serve it with ice cream, caramel sauce, and pecan nuts.
